BIO

With a certificate and diploma from the International Academy of Design and Technology’s Fashion Marketing and Merchandising Program, I was eager to jump into my passions. Always with a pen in hand and a camera around my neck, it felt natural to me to follow my path of writing. What kind of writing? All kinds. Fair enough? I write poetry, short stories, fiction and non-fiction. I write company bio’s and mission/vision statements. I will tear through press releases and make your brochure sound like Mozart. As long as I’m writing, life is as it should be. Perfect.

Following my graduation, I moved abroad to further pursue personal growth, creative expansion and focus on creative writing. Completing a Creative Writing course at London’s City University, I won various poetry contests and was published in Poetry Rivals 2009; I also continued to contribute to print, various blogs and online magazines. Everyday was a new experience, every hour presented a new obstacle, and I spent late nights catching up on my classics.

Since returning to Toronto, Canada, I have worked as media relations for the One of a Kind 2009 Christmas Show, Creative Director at multi-line agency the Gingerich Group and continued freelance writing and copyrighting for various high profile companies and magazines.

My education is not traditional. My background is abundant. I am always on my toes, ready to learn, and excited for the next step. When I am good, I will stay up later to be great. When I am great, I will be in a 6-9pm course to be greater. This is how I roll.
